When all Health Occupations Education students in a program affiliate with HOSA at the local,
state and national level
HOSA is a student organization that operates in accordance to federal and
state laws, which recognize the need for HOSA activities to be a viable component of vocational education programs in health
occupations education. Students with leadership ability and social maturity, who can handle the spirit of competitiveness,
will be more community orient and will seek involvement and participation in citizenship activities are the best candidates
for the HOSA organization.
HOSA activities reinforce classroom learning
HOSA's mission is especially critical when considering the acute shortage of qualified
workers for the health care industry. It is essential that the HOE-HOSA Partnership maintains its momentum
and encourage all HOE instructors to integrate HOSA into their curriculum and classrooms.
